Food Service Workers
Swisher Memorial Healthcare System is seeking food service workers who can add to our culture of providing superior healthcare services to the communities we serve!
Experience/Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
At least 18 years old
Food handling certification as required by state regulations
Ability to understand and follow instruction in English, communicate effectively, perform simple arithmetic, and understand measurements and conversions
Ability to work in close cooperation with supervisor, peers, residents, patients and guests
Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions
Must have flexible availability including weekends and holidays
Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of the Nutritional Services Supervisor, the food service worker performs a wide range of duties involved with preparing and/or serving foods and beverages to hospital patients and residents. Performs such duties as preparing salad items, hot and/or cold foods, and/or assisting in the preparation of dessert items. Assist in cleaning work areas, equipment and utensils. May assist in the set up, service, and collection of garbage/trash; as appropriate to the area of operation. May assemble and serve food items to hospital staff and customers in cafeteria, perform cashiering duties and/or all other miscellaneous duties as assigned or required.
